The rotating mass has been reduced from approximately 1200g to 780g, a saving of 420g (35%). This lower rotating mass allows the engine to pick up revs more quickly, helping to deliver sharper throttle response and improved acceleration. Unlike many racing ignition systems, the Polini 171.0565 retains battery charging and lighting functionality, making it suitable for both high-performance road scooters and tuned competition builds.

A dedicated wiring system helps simplify installation, while the integrated ignition coil and control unit provide precise and reliable ignition performance.
